Terms of Use
These terms apply when you use the DTM Fitness app and website, which are operated by Dylan Schwartz (“DTM”, “we”). By using the app you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.
1. Train safely: this is not medical advice
DTM gives general strength-training guidance. It isn’t a medical service and doesn’t replace a doctor, physiotherapist or qualified coach who can see you in person. Check with a doctor before you start if you have a heart condition, chest pain, dizziness or fainting, high blood pressure, a recent injury or operation, are pregnant, or have been told to limit exercise.
Stop straight away and seek help if you feel chest pain, severe breathlessness, faintness or sharp pain. Weights, sets and reps in the app are suggestions based on what you log. You decide what’s safe for you on the day. Use good technique, warm up, and use a spotter or safety equipment where appropriate.
2. Who can use DTM
You must be at least 14 to use the app. Cloud backup and the AI coach are for people aged 18 and over.
3. Your account
Keep access to your email account secure, as it’s how you sign in. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Account & backup → Delete account).
4. The AI coach
The coach is powered by artificial intelligence. It can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, so use your own judgement and don’t rely on it for medical decisions. The coach never sets your weights; the app does that from your logged training. We may limit how many questions you can ask each day.
5. Fair use
Don’t misuse the app: for example, don’t try to access other people’s data, disrupt the service, reverse-engineer it, or use the coach to produce harmful content. We may suspend accounts that do.
6. Paid features
Some features may need a subscription or a one-off purchase in future. If so, they’re sold through the App Store under Apple’s terms, and prices and renewal terms will be shown clearly before you buy. Refunds are handled by Apple.
7. Our content
The app, its training engine, programmes, text and design belong to DTM or our licensors. You may use them for your own personal training. Your workout data belongs to you.
8. Liability
We work hard to keep DTM accurate and available, but we provide it “as is” and can’t promise it will always be error-free. As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for injury, loss or damage arising from your training or from relying on the app, except where that is caused by our negligence or can’t legally be excluded. Nothing in these terms affects your rights as a consumer.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will tell you in the app about important changes. Questions? Email [email protected].
